I can stand the thing up without tightening the now useless lower screw, but the stand is kind of wobbly. I put some electrical tape around the bottom pole to tighten the gap between the pole and the bottom sleeve which seems to help a bit. I'd be willing to spend a few dollars more, though, for a better made stand. However, the mic stand itself is really flimsy. After a couple of adjustments up and down, the bottom screw no longer holds the pole in place. I can still set it up and make it work, but I'd hoped for a sturdier stand. Still, you get what you pay for and for the price you won't find better. |
